From confidence in public speaking to confidence in yourself

On October 9, the UrbanElevate team held an event as part of the “Innovation Development for Sustainable Mobility” project in partnership with Vacuum Deep Tech Acceleration and the Vilna space for women and girls.

The meeting was attended by representatives of secondary schools in Zhytomyr, with whom memoranda of cooperation had been previously signed as part of the project.

Instead of lengthy theory, maximum benefit in a short time:

• A new course for pupils. The module “Effective Public Speaking and Communication Skills” was presented. Its goal is to help schoolchildren confidently present themselves and their ideas, turning fear into energy.
• AI training for educators. Dmytro Zakharov gave a live demonstration of how to use artificial intelligence to prepare lesson plans faster, generate interesting tasks, and find creative materials. This saves real time that can be spent communicating with pupils.
• Access to European platforms. Participants learned about the opportunities offered by Girls Go Circular, an initiative that helps girls develop digital and entrepreneurial skills.

The event focused on practical changes in secondary schools: pupils receive tools for clear argumentation and public presentation of ideas, while teachers receive working solutions for modern lesson preparation and delivery. The next step is to launch a module on public speaking in secondary schools in Zhytomyr.
